Summer in Review

Summer went by in the blink of an eye!

Although that often is the case, this summer was especially busy because mommy got a promotion at work in July (district business manager for the state of Oregon and Alaska) and was traveling a LOT! Starting in July, she was in Alaska, St. Louis, San Diego, New Jersey, Hawaii (more on that later) and New Jersey again, all within about 12 weeks.

Of course, that did not stop Taylor from growing even taller, becoming even smarter and funnier, and having lots of fun with daddy and Nanny Eliabeth when mommy was away.

In fact, this summer Taylor became potty trained (training started in June with a "potty party" at Sloane's and became nearly 100% successful in August), learned to tell knock-knock jokes, rode a horse and carriage with her Gammy, had a slumber party with Nana and Aunt Jodi, got a Dora bike with training wheels, became a fan of Scooby Doo, learned how to "make a deal" with daddy to negotiate for items she wants, and became an expert singer of a self-arranged medley of the ABC song, Twinkle-Twinkle, Row/Row/Row your Boat and Rock a Bye Baby.

And she got a Coppertone Baby tan in Hawaii, where she swam in the pool every day for 9 days, and loved the ocean so much she would wrestle her hand away from mom and dad and try to run in by herself!

Take a look at some of these great pix, which show just how much fun was had by all.
